Homemade Turkish Delight. We are studying The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in Family School Year 3 literature. The kids LOVE this book and I am sure I'll need to buy the whole series as soon as we finish this one.
It's fall and there are flies everywhere! My son is the designated exterminator. Yep, he shot that one down with a Nerf dart.
A sample of E's spelling and handwriting. This was the dictation for her spelling lesson recently. I love seeing how she attempted again and again to spell pilgrim until she knew she got it right (the third line up). She learned cursive in first grade and her handwriting is SO much better than the older children's!
Spelling practice this week is all about games. All About Spelling is her basic curriculum, but we add in methods from Words Their Way, and I found some games online that work with her current lessons. This one is from thisreadingmama.com.
