We spend last Saturday and Sunday enjoying General Conference and listening to the living prophet and apostles speak! Did you know there is a prophet living today? Just like in Bible times, you can learn from him exactly what God wants us to know, and the feeling of comfort when you hear the leaders of Christ's church speak is wonderful.
My husband has had his work weekends fall on General Conference twice now. He's not thrilled about that, but at least it's available to watch online or read! In between Saturday sessions the kids and I went grocery shopping, then we set up a grilled cheese bar for lunch. We invited some friends over for the Priesthood Session after dinner, and had banana splits.

Recap: Fall Break week!
We had a fun week! It was a short week too, and while it felt busy at times, it wasn't really. We were reminded at church to keep doing the daily things we need to do to strengthen ourselves and our families because Satan is working hard here. We've been working on helping the youngest memorize the Articles of Faith for a challenge that we were given recently. It's going pretty well!
Monday: I realized my kids have two weeks left in Fix It! Grammar book 2, so I started printing and preparing the next student manuals for them. Our history lesson was on the Freedom Trail, the First Continental Congress, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere, Lexington and Concord, Minutemen, the Second Continental Congress, and the events that led up to the Revolutionary War. I had a follow up eye doctor appointment to see how my new trial contact is fitting and working for me.

A recap of our week

Sometimes our week seems a lot busier than it actually was! This past week felt like one of those weeks. Have you read the book Cookie's Week? I felt like that a couple of days!
