I'll admit that we're struggling right now. Perhaps it's the "summer is in
sight" jitters, or perhaps it's the "we've been doing this for four
years now" blues. Whatever is causing it, I need a reset so I don't feel
like yelling every day, and my kids need a little more focus and
diligence. This review came at the right time!
At the end of each year, the Homeschool Review Crew sends out a survey for crew members to vote on their favorite products from that year in a variety of categories. It's fun to see what everyone on the crew enjoyed, and I discovered it's helpful to sit with my children and discuss what we felt was most helpful in our home and fun to use. A few years ago, when we first began homeschooling, we used a grammar program that had tidbits of everything thrown into one book, including confusing my kids to the point that we all hated grammar. Though I could see that diagramming would be beneficial, I didn't know how to help the kids understand it. When The Critical Thinking Co.™ asked members of the Homeschool Review Crew to review some of their products, I wanted to try their new book, Sentence Diagramming: Beginning. I hoped that this would help us understand diagramming better than we have in the past!
