The Most Wonderful Language Arts Time of the Year!

Since we love using curriculum from Institute for Excellence in Writing, and one of my favorite time to shop with them is now, I thought I'd share some sales and events they have going on.

First, check out their clearance sale! You can save 50% on anything in their clearance section from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.  This is a great sale because the items are in great condition... some are a tiny bit beat up (never noticed anything more than a slight fold on a corner) or are discontinued. I do most of my IEW shopping during this sale.



Second, sign up to attend the IEW Winter Retreat. It will be on December 9th and is free. It will be a full day of workshops to help and inspire you as you teach your children. I love listening to these talks!

Last, sign up for the Twelve Days of Christmas Giving. They have free things to download and great sales. I love this as well because there are always great talks that I can listen to and learn/be inspired from. During the first one of these that I "attended" I was able to get the Structure and Style Overview DVD for free, and that finally helped me to understand how much IEW writing would help my children. Sign up now and you'll get daily email reminders during the event from Dec. 26 to Jan. 6.
