Botany: How Plants Drink

Last week for our science lesson, we did an experiment to learn how plants drink.  We learned the multiple jobs of stems, all about nodes, and what the xylem and phloem are.  The kids were surprised to see how quickly they noticed a color change in the leaves!  Within just a few hours of placing the celery in the colored water we could see a difference.
