Week 8: 52 Weeks of Photos

We all received disposable fountain pens for Christmas.  Do you have a quest for the perfect pen in your house?  My favorite was the Pilot G2 .38.  The kids like them, but they fell in love with the Pilot Varsity fountain pens they received.  Here's E writing dictation with hers.

M's pen ran out of ink in about 5 or 6 weeks.  E's pen is almost empty.  The Varsity is nice, but the medium point lays down a lot of ink, and often seeps through to the back of the paper in spots.  M wanted to purchase a refillable fountain pen and chose the Pilot Fountain Pen with Ergo Grip and a set of refill cartridges.  It has an extra fine tip and writes so nicely!  We discovered the Varsity disposable is a nice pen to help preschoolers with writing.  N pushed so hard with her fountain pen that she bent the tip.  We straightened it out and told her not to press, just let her hand and arm move.  She does better with it now!
